International Day

25-February-26
International Day

On Tuesday, 24th February, our school proudly celebrated our first ever International Day. The event was organised to help students learn about different countries, cultures, and traditions from around the world.

This year, we were delighted to welcome many parents into school to share information about their cultures. Parents spoke to the children about their home countries, traditions, languages, clothing, and special celebrations. We had guests from France, Italy, New Zealand, Hungary, Vietnam, The Netherlands and China. We are especially grateful to Mabel who came from the New Zealand Embassy today.

One of the most exciting parts of the day was tasting delicious food samples from different countries. There were a variety of sweet and savoury treats for everyone to try. Students were encouraged to sample new flavours and discover foods from around the world.

Parents also organised traditional games from their countries. The children had great fun learning new games and playing together. The activities helped everyone understand how children in other parts of the world play and celebrate together

International Day was a wonderful success. It was a fantastic opportunity for our school community to come together, celebrate diversity and appreciate the many cultures that make up our school community.
