ACHIEVEMENTS UPDATE
In 2021, St. Michael's College launched the second phase of our Building on Success development programme, which consists of three major development projects to upgrade some of the much-needed facilities for our students. These include:
- The development of a modern Junior School Building, in two stages,
- The development of an innovative Senior School STEM building, and
- The development of a new swimming pool facility.
This campaign has, and continues to be, met with great enthusiasm and generosity. As a result, we have already completed two of the three projects of this development programme in a very short time frame. The first two projects completed are:
1) Junior School academic and artistic development: This project entailed the redevelopment of the Junior School in two stages to include enhanced classrooms, adding new buildings to include additional ancillary teaching accommodation, a General Purpose Area, which incorporates Art and Library spaces, and a Science Hub along with an outdoor garden.
2) Senior School academic development: This included the development of a new Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) block completed in 2023, which encompasses four state-of-the-art modern and flexible science laboratories, a computer science room and a resource room. The development also included the refurbishment of two existing Labs, in addition to the development of a new Design and Graphics room, extra class, learning support and meeting room spaces.
We are sincerely grateful to our community of donors for their generous contributions to the development and improvement of the educational and recreational facilities, which our students are currently benefitting from and enjoy each day.
